Some of you know that the part of the country where I live had a really bad drought. Now we're in the second week of steady rain. While I'm really glad for the rain, and I like thunderstorms, I haven't been especially grateful for this constant drizzle. I haven't actually caught it raining. It's more a matter of observing constant puddles and dark gray cement for the sidewalk. There is on and off leaky droplets that barely even justify an umbrella. It's a really lame rain. But there must be some reason for it. Maybe it's better for the farmers to have the rain is doses for two weeks straight rather than a blast of monsoon downpour. I have nothing else really profound to say except that rain does things to people's moods. I think my students are quieter. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow. There you have it, the weather
