If you don't know my team mate Shannon, it's because I spent too much time talking about myself. I may have said that my team has had rampant ailments of all kinds, especially finger and toe injuries. Some of us have had chilblains, ingrown toenails, burns, cuts and one electrocution (ok, it was Shannon, but it wasn't her fault.) In addition to digital maladies(digital means fingers and toes, heh), there have been a few food poisonings and joint pains. Shannon is—at the very least—a contender for most medical issues of any teacher in our program. The latest chapter in her legacy has been a persistent cough and an overall condition that may or may not be pneumonia (That's the last I heard and I haven't followed the health news with much diligence.) but anyway, today I went with Shannon on her seventh trip to the clinic to deal with her cough. Around here, the catch-all solution to every illness seems to be IV drips. I didn't realize that it was going to be a drip. I thought it was an injection, but the pharmacy gave her an IV chord and two bottles of perfectly translucent liquid—hefty ones. So as of the writing of this, Shannon is on round one of the clear bottles. So it looks like she's getting an emergency shot of cream soda, like really flat cream soda.
